With four teams (Patriots, Colts, Eagles and Dolphins) in goodbye and a lot at stake in many leagues, Week 14 is one that many have no doubt been dreading, especially the owners of Jonathan Taylor. Identifying the sleepers will be crucial not only for Taylor owners, but also for owners of Jalen Hurts, Jaylen Waddle, Mike Gesicki, and Damien Harris, not to mention those with injured players and many popular D / STs. More than ever, homeowners will be looking for weeklong streamers as we head into the fantasy playoffs.

As always, we are here to help you identify specific hidden values for this week. Whether with players on their roster or those sitting on the wire of resignation, there are always guys, like the recent fleeting D’Onta Foreman and Taysom Hill, with crafty soaring ready to enter their rosters and be on our roster of fantasy sleepers from Week 14.

WEEK 14 FANTASY: Busts | Get started, feel them

It is worth noting that any of our selections could bust this week, but also the real studs. We are taking a chance here, as we don’t want to say that no one is too obvious. A list of easy options would do no one any good. You’re not going to start out with the guys below with proven, consistent producers, but you’re probably not looking for fantasy sleepers if your lineup is ready. However, even if that’s the case, our sleeper list can help you find value in DFS contests, as these players’ prices should be affordable.

In Week 13, we struck out at RB with Matt Breida and Boston Scott, although weather and illness certainly played a part in both of our struggles. However, it was our worst week of the year to sleep. Kenny Golladay, Rashod Bateman, Jauan Jennings, Foster Moreau and Tyrod Taylor were some of our big changes and failures, but we will move on to the next play and try to correct our mistakes.

WEEK 14 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Field marshal | Running backwards | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

Week 14 Fantasy Sleepers: Runners

D’Onta Forman and Dontrell Hillard, Titans vs Jaguars (Jackson Sparks). It’s virtually impossible to tell which Titans RB has the upper hand here, but both can be considered flexible options in what should be a heavy play script combined with plenty of Ryan Tannehill dunks. This offense is fighting without AJ Brown (chest), and even if Julio Jones (hamstring) plays, Tennessee should lean on its explosive RBs to end this game. The Jags give up the 10th most fantasy points per game (FPPG) to the RBs, so they could both produce solid numbers like they did against New England in Week 12.

Rex Burkhead, Texans vs. Seahawks (Vinnie Iyer). This doesn’t sound like an inspiring pick, but Burkhead has a chance in the coming weeks to close out the season in some more run-friendly venues. You also get some checks on trash time.

Ty Montgomery, Saints @ Jets (Matt Lutovsky). With Mark Ingram on the reserve / COVID list and Alvin Kamara (knee) less than 100 percent if he plays, Montgomery will have to work harder. He handled eight touches last week, and while that doesn’t equate to a lot of production, he should be more involved / productive against the Jets. New York allows by far the most FPPG to RBs, and Montgomery’s versatile skill set will give him enough of a boost in the PPR leagues to make him worth flexing.

WEEK 14 PPR RANKINGS:
Field marshal | Running backwards | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

Week 14 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Quarterbacks

Taysom Hill, Saints @ Jets (Sparks). Hill had a terrible passing day against Dallas, but managed to rush for 101 yards and account for two touchdowns. The Jets’ defense is terrible against just about every position, and any quarterback who can realistically run for more than 40 yards has a safe floor. Especially if Hill rushes to work in the red zone, he’ll be a QB1 again.

Cam Newton, Panthers vs. Falcons (Iyer). Newton loves playing Atlanta because his home team’s defense tends to be poor, and this latest matchup is no exception. He should feel it more in the passing game after the bye in a new offense.

Taylor Heinicke, Washington vs. Cowboys (Lutovsky). Heinicke has been solid, if inconsistent, this year, and his underrated running ability gives him enough floor to be able to play in matchups like this. Dallas allows the quarterbacks No. 11 with the most FPPGs, so Heinicke should have a chance to build on his solid point totals in two of the last three games.

WEEK 14 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo!

Week 14 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Wide Receivers

Jamison Crowder, Jets vs. Saints (Sparks). Corey Davis (core) will undergo end-of-season surgery, so Crowder should see his ranking increase for the remainder of the season. He’s always likely to draw more than five targets, and since the Saints give up the fourth-most FPPG to the WRs, Crowder has not only a safe floor but a decent ceiling as well.

Marquez Valdés-Scantling, Packers vs. Bears (Iyer). The Bears suck in the secondary away from Jaylon Johnson, so this screams MVS making a long play or two taking advantage of the coverage Davante Adams receives.

Jalen Guyton, Chargers vs. Giants (Lutovsky). Guyton had a great game last week, but the reason he’s on this list is because of the bigger role he’d have if Keenan Allen (reserve / COVID) isn’t around. The Giants are below average against WR, and we know the Chargers will keep shooting regardless of the available pass receivers.

Week 14 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Tight Endings

Gerald Everett, Seahawks @ Texans (Sparks). Everett has drawn 36 goals in six games with Russell Wilson, and has lived up to goals with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett over the past few weeks. He was attacked twice in the red zone against Arizona, but eventually dropped a pass and missed another catch at the one-yard line. Hopefully Wilson will continue to trust him, and he should have a great day against TE’s sixth-worst stop defense in Houston.

Evan Engram, Giants @ Chargers (Iyer). Shooting from the corners and against linebackers is the best way to move the ball over the Chargers, so Engram should get a lot of short passes in garbage time.

Austin Hooper, Browns @ Ravens (Lutovsky). We cast Hooper as a sleeper against the Ravens two weeks ago, and he was immediately ruled out. We’re going back to the well this week, and not just because this is a good matchup. Harrison Bryant (ankle), who caught three passes for 50 yards in that game, is probably out, and David Njoku (reserve / COVID), who caught three passes for 35 yards and a touchdown, could also be down. That would let Hooper take all the slack, which should translate into solid stats.

Week 14 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Defense

Seattle Seahawks @ Texans (sparks). Seattle would be one of the best broadcast D / STs regardless of Houston’s quarterback. The Texans give up the fifth most FPPG to D / ST and probably have the worst “real life” offense in the league.

Green Bay Packers vs. Bears (Iyer). Fire them up for the thrilling prime-time hit that comes after a goodbye. The Packers should attack the opponents they own at night, by day, and at any other time.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Giants (Lutovsky). The Giants could depend on Jake Fromm at QB, but whether it’s him, a shocked Mike Glennon or a bruised Daniel Jones (neck), the Chargers defense should take advantage of this highly favorable home matchup.
